Taking a nap at work can help counteract fatigue, but it may increase other risks like cargo theft.
Philadelphia police reported that thousands of dollars’ worth of crabmeat was stolen from a tractor-trailer Wednesday night while the driver snoozed.
TheTrucker.com reported that 184 cases of crab leg clusters, valued at $73,000, were stolen from the vehicle, despite the container being locked with a metal seal and padlock.
Officers reported seeing several fleeing vehicles when they arrived on the scene, and when officers woke up the driver, he said he didn’t hear a thing.
The investigation is ongoing.
